Dr Grace Kite

Economist, Econometrician and Founder of Gracious Economics

Grace started her career at the Gowlett Arms in Peckham where she swiftly moved on from pulling pints after getting her PhD in Economics. Dr Grace, as she is fondly called, spent formative years at Mindshare as a consultant econometrician.  Her excellent data and modelling skills led her to ever more senior positions at Millward Brown, Holmes & Cook, Annalect, Mediacom, PHD and OMD. Then in 2010 she founded Gracious Economics.  Grace has worked on more than 100 market mix modelling projects and if that wasn’t enough, she helped clients to win 10 IPA awards and 1 Cannes Grand Prix.

In her 20 years’ experience, Grace has worked for marketing clients across all the main advertising buying categories. In every one of these categories she’s developed an economist’s view of market trends and the nature of competition. She’s an expert in financial services having carried out projects on credit cards, savings and all categories of insurance. She also loved a recent project on toys because it enabled her to take the whole team to Hamleys where they combined mystery shopping with a chance to play.

Grace likes to use her powers for good. Her PhD was concerned with economic progress in India, and Grace did a stint soon afterwards working for Save The Children. She’s proud to say that she carries out work for NGOs and government departments, using quantitative research to help make the case for poverty alleviating interventions.

When Grace is not evaluating marketing and policy decisions, she is giving her children the biggest hugs she can quantify and listening to drum and bass.
